Progress Monitoring
Responsiveness to instruction/responsiveness to intervention is the practice of providing high-quality instruction and interventions matched to student needs, monitoring progress frequently to make changes in instruction or goals, and applying child response data to important educational decisions. Teachers at Dillard Academy use Mclass Reading 3D for grades K-3 to progress monitor students reading growth every 10 days after classroom targeted intervention instruction is provided. All students use iReady supplemental instruction daily for ELA and Math classroom interventions. MTSS students receive an additional thirty minutes of small group supplemental instruction during the school day and 45 minutes during after school tutoring. (NC1500-2.xx)
